Stocks and Shares Junior ISA Declaration

I apply to subscribe for a Stocks and Shares JISA for tax year 2023/24 (the first tax year to which this declaration relates) and each subsequent tax year in which I choose to make a subscription.

A I declare that:

(i) I am 18 years of age or over.

(ii) All subscriptions are being made on behalf of the child applicant.

(iii) The Child does not hold a Child Trust Fund (CTF) account

(iv) I have not subscribed and will not subscribe more than the overall subscription limit in total to a JISA for the child applicant in the same tax year.

(v) I have not subscribed, and will not subscribe, to another stocks and shares JISA in the same tax year that I subscribe to this stocks and shares JISA for the child applicant.

(vi) The child is resident in the United Kingdom for tax purposes or if not so resident, has a parent/guardian with parental responsibility who either performs duties which by virtue of Section 28 of Income Tax (Earnings & Pensions) Act 2003 (Crown Employees serving overseas), are treated as being performed in the United Kingdom, or is married to or in a registered civil partnership with a person who performs such duties.

(vii) The information given in this declaration is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief and I will inform Transport Friendly Society without delay any changes in the child's circumstances affecting any of the information in this form.

(viii) I further declare that No advice has been given to me by the Society and that this purchase is on an Execution Only basis.

B I authorise Transport Friendly Society

(i) To hold the child's cash subscription, JISA investments, interest, dividends and any other rights or proceeds in respect of those investments and any/or other cash

(ii) To make on the child's behalf any claims to relief from tax in respect of JISA investments

Disclaimer

It is important to remember that the value of the investment and any income from it may fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed so the child may get back less that what you invest. Any information relating to past performance of an investment is not a guide to future performance.

Money received will be invested on the valuation date following the receipt and no interest will be paid on cash held pending investment. The Society operates a NEXT quoted unit price for all transactions, which means the price of units purchased following any deposit into a JISA will be set at the next pricing date.
